Through vaccinations, health care professionals have reduced, and in some cases eliminated, the threat from many diseases that killed or severely disabled people generations ago. However, even if just a few cases of these diseases exist worldwide, we need regular vaccinations to continue receiving the protection they provide and keep them from widespread recurrence. To preserve our safety now and in the future, it’s important to be fully immunized and to keep your shot record up to date.

Immunizations for Children

Our Immunization Clinic offers all childhood vaccines required by the state of Missouri. These vaccines are provided by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services and are purchased in part with federal funds through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program. Vaccines received from the state are available to anyone who meets the eligibility guidelines for a particular vaccine. In addition, the Children's Immunization Program (CHIP) offers near-cost immunizations to those ineligible for the Vaccines For Children program.

Who qualifies for the VFC program?
  • Children (ages 18 and under) who are uninsured
  • Children who are enrolled in Medical Assistance (MA) or Prepaid Medical Assistance Programs (PMAP)
  • Children who are American Indian or Alaskan Natives
  • Children with health insurance that does not cover one or more vaccines
  • Children with health insurance that caps vaccine coverage at a certain amount; once that amount is reached the child is VFC eligible
  • Children with health insurance with any unmet deductible; once the deductible is paid the child is no longer VFC eligible
Vaccination Schedules For Children:

Children (Birth to 6 years old)

Adolescents (7 to 18 years old)

Adult Immunization Program

The vaccinations you receive in your childhood often fade over time, and many others require routine boosters to maintain their safeguards. To continue the protection for St. Charles County’s adult population, our department offers certain vaccines to residents ages 18 and older through the Adult Immunization Program (AIP). There is a nominal fee for these vaccines (which may be covered by your insurance provider). Call 636.949.1857 for more information.
